TN: 1978 Chateau Lafleur

Decanted for 2 hours, this is a beautiful wine that has fully integrated. Smelling the wine brought back memories of camping in Spring with flowers all around me and meat with mushrooms cooking over a campfire. Took a sip and instantly got smoked meat, truffles, spice and floral things. The wine is so smooth it’s like running your hand along the curves of a newly detailed sports car. This Lafleur is singing ‘hallelujah’.

Hallelujah!

I’ve only had it once and It showed very well, but did not have the fireworks yours did.

We had this wine at la Tour d’Argent last year and my memory echoes Mark’s . Good , not great . Lucky you Yong !
