TN: 1978 Ampeau Volnay Santenots

Bricking throughout. Beguiling bouquet of damp earth, red fruits, spice, and late notes of truffles and tangerine peel. Difficult not to keep inhaling the perfume.
Medium bodied with flavors of strawberries and spice. Notes of earth and violets emerge on a medium finish. After two hours, the finish begins to dissipate. Silky texture and good balance. An absolute joy to drink, but nearing the end of its window of maturity.

love Ampeau whites. Little red experience. Thanks.
