After nearly 40 years this fantastic dessert wine is finally coming around! Opaque dark chocolate brown in color, like dirty motor oil. It still possesses aromas of dark brown sugar and cinnamon spice. The palate has mellowed out a bit. It no longer tastes like viscous liquid brown sugar. While still rich and thick, it’s lost some of the weight it once possessed and now has a smoother, more fluid feel in the mouth and displays more notes of ripe figs and raisins on the finish. It was great with some soft stinky cheese. Enjoy in moderation. (93 pts.)

I’ve had that a few times. Nice!

I’ve enjoyed this 2-3 times and have about 1/4 bottle in the fridge.

I think this is the Gran Reserva (that’s the bottle shot); you’ll find quite a few more CT reviews of this wine there. 1972 Bodegas Toro Albala Montilla-Moriles Don PX Gran Reserva, Spain, Andalucía, Montilla-Moriles - CellarTracker
