TN: 1970 Claret Grand Cru Classe

1970 Chateau Croque Michotte - St Emilion - Grand Cru Classe

A slightly cooler evening in London, so I chose this aged claret. Popped and poured. A red/Burgundy body with a light red almost browning rim. The savoury nose initially also gives me a hint of ground coffee, which swiftly disappates. The smooth mouthfeel is medium bodied with no noticeable tannins. Fully mature, easy to sip and it paired well with a chicken dish for dinner.

Presumably that is near Corbin Michotte?

Drank my last 1970 Bordeaux years ago. Great vintage.
