TN: '08 Boedecker Pinot Noir Reflection Rosé

  • 2008 Boedecker Cellars Pinot Noir Reflection Pinot Noir Rose - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (5/2/2009)
100% Pinor Noir saignée rosé. 12.3% abv. About $13. The color is pure strawberry juice-- a deep, bright, rosy pink. The nose is simple, pleasing, and evocative of a lighter style red Pinot, with strawberry, cherry, and a touch of tart cranberry. The same flavors follow through to the palate, which is fresh and juicy, but lacks the pulsing acidity (Todd likes when people say “pulsing” in TNs) and minerality I enjoyed so much in last night’s '08 J.K. Carriere “Glass” rosé of Pinot Noir. Still, at 2/3 the price of that wine, this is an excellent value.

Philip, that wild and crazy guy, has found a way around the bad word filter. And all it took was a hyphen…

Pain-grille for everyone!

Pain-grille. Pain-grille. Pain-grille.

Unbelievably liberating, if irrelevant to the wine in question.
