TN: 02 Dom Ruinart + 15 Richebourg

  • 2002 Ruinart Champagne Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs - France, Champagne (2/26/2022)
Pop and pour. Warm nose of lemon curd, sweet brioche, sourdough toast points. Palate is round and full with loads of citrus zest and wet stone. Balanced acidity. Fans out to a wide and long finish that lingers for minutes. This is in a great place right now and really coming into the secondary plenitude zone. (94 pts.)
  • 2015 Gros Frère et Sœur Richebourg - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Richebourg Grand Cru (2/26/2022)
Very tight and needs air. Decanted for 2 hours. Opened up to reveal a full bouquet of red fruit, violets and deep, layered spice. Silky smooth mouthfeel bursting with flavor of purple fruit, herbs and spices with an acid punch. May put on more weight with additional cellar time. (94 pts.)
