Thomas Fogarty Winery is a premier winery located in the Santa Cruz Mountains established in 1981. The winery has a rich history as it opened the same year that the Santa Cruz Mountain AVA was established in 1981. We specialize in coastal, mountain influenced Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Nebbiolo. Our Gist Ranch Estate houses Lexington Wine Co. which specializes in red and white Bordeaux varietals. Our vineyards are farmed to organic principles with emphasis on “Living Soils” and biodiversity. The wines produced vary greatly depending on the plot’s elevation, orientation, and soil. Soil composition is a range of sedimentary rocks such as sandstone, shales, mudstones, limestone, and chert. We create wines that highlight vintage, as well as the climate and soil in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Even with our established history, we continue to be a boutique, family-owned business; this year we are excited to be releasing our 40th Anniversary vintage to our members.

Our Chardonnay is coveted so there is a limited inventory of these bundles available. Cold, whole-cluster pressing, no settling, barrel fermentation with native yeast, and spontaneous malolactic fermentations highlight the wonderful purity inherent in our Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay. This ‘hand off’ approach in the cellar allows for maximum site expression.
