In my experience, the picture is what you’re bidding on. Sometimes the text is inaccurate or misleading. For example, right now there’s a 1985 Marietta Cellars Zinfandel “Geyserville” on offer. The pictured label reads Sonoma County Zinfandel. The producer is in Geyserville. The wine isn’t “Geyserville.” Sometimes it works to your advantage. Awhile back there was 2003 Jacques Arbon Pommard “Rugiens” for offer at $15. The picture showed a bottle that looked like 2003 de Montille Rugiens. I won it and sure enough, it’s de Montille wine (and capsule) with the Arbon label made I’m sure for a holder of vines that de Montille sources from. There was nothing misleading here, but the lesson is you get what’s in the picture.

They did use to make Pinot Chardonnay in Calif and it was pretty danged white. Maybe those French are
just trying to ride the coattails of the coming PinotChardonnay boom!!

I suspect the person who bid on this is highly attractive and intellegent.
Bro, we’ve got to get some spell check in here for you.
