General question for everyone
I know that you don’t go anywhere near vinegar, chillies and pineapple when tasting wine. What other food items do you find really mess up your taste buds

Sea urchin?
Milk chocolate. Yogurt.
Asparagus
Ice-cream. Seems to kill my taste buds for a couple hours. No more after school ice-cream with the kiddo for me – ruins my wine with dinner two hours later.
Pine nuts, cilantro, never had issues with vinegar like balsamic.
Brussel sprouts. Even when just roasted with salt and pepper I find it screws up reds for me.
Artichokes
Tuna
Probably don’t want to eat/chew gum.
Not a food, but toothpaste.
For me, unless the wine has some RS, sweet things.
Coffee, or tea
A bowl of cereal, with fruit and milk.
Onion or garlic.
Doritos - they’re made for beer.
Jolly Ranchers
Blue cheese.
Most sweet fruits like figs or melons or peaches, and most acidic fruits like citrus and strawberries, and any acidic juice like grapefruit juice or even apricot juice (once had an idiot buyer sip juice between tastes of wine).
Chocolate (can’t understand why people keep trying to force that).
Anything with jalapenos or hotter peppers.
Fresh mint and fresh cilantro.
Kim chee and any pickled or preserved veggies.
Baked beans.
Honey-baked ham.
Chinese food with soy or fermented beans.
Hongeohoe.
Surströmming.
And of course, you wouldn’t chew gum, well, ever.
Kiwi
Ate some kiwi before a serious tasting and my palate was blown for hours.
