So, I’ve done some business with these guys over the years (Richard and Henry), always seemed to go so smoothly. With Village Wines out of the picture, they seem to be getting some interesting allocations. They called me about a great Burg producer, an allocation they have. I agreed to buy some, and as usual offered my credit card for the purchase. Their response? “This wine has not arrived yet. Your purchase is secured, but we don’t charge you here until the wine is physically in the shop. We’ll call when the wine is in and charge you then, probably a few weeks.” Wow. The Anti Hoyt (Village Wines). I loved that. No problems, no hassles, no chasing wine that hasn’t come in but you’ve paid for. I Love This Business Model. Go Wine Chap, Go!!!
