The Lopez Family bought their small ranch in 1989 and built the adobe-style home they currently reside in. These are pictures of Henry and his father, along with young Sarita, mixing adobe bricks from the site that would become their beloved vineyard (planted in 2000).

For those who have not experienced the Sylvie wines, are highly recommended! I had the good fortune to be able to taste some of the Library offerings with Kurt and Rebecca Demchuk, along with Sally Johnson Blum, a couple of years ago, and of course now proudly have Sylvie in my cellar! This is classic Oakville fruit that Kurt has lovingly crafted into outstanding and classic Cabernet, and I expect that the talented Sally Blum will do equally great things with their new white bottling! This is micro production, so get some while you can! Cheers!:wine_glass::+1:

Thanks, Mark! It’s always good to hear from you, and with your killer cellar and love of many great wines, we appreciate your kind words. We can now taste with Sally at her custom crush operation at Tamber Bay – stay tuned as we work out the details for 2025. Also, we will have our first auction lot at Premiere Napa Valley, which Sally made! We’ll be featured at the Steering Committee reception at White Hall Lane on 2/19 and the Grand Tasting at the CIA on 2/21. I’m hoping that some folks from the Berserkers forum will be at the event and say hello in person – cheers.

Hi Allison! I will be less verbose than my brother but I am in for the library 3-pack. Don’t miss this one, folks — it’s a steal for a single-vineyard Cabernet from the eastern Oakville hills — think Tierra Roja, Phelps Backus, Tench, and Dalla Valle-type quality!

We’ve been making Sylvie since 2010. The Lopez family sold the fruit before that—tiny production. The style is elegant and does not need excessive decanting. I like to enjoy them slowly and let them evolve in the glass. Henry Lopez works full-time as a geneticist and specializes in oncology, so we keep in the lab as much as possibl. Hi Mike, Sorry about that. We don’t have permits for NJ. I can place the order and you can go with a third party shipper. The only issue with that is you’d have to pay full price for shipping. I can give you a call over the weekend if you want to discuss that opton. Best, Allison
