It even has a video that shows the similarity between a bubble bursting at the surface of a carbonated drink and a shaped charge (although the article does not point this out).

That was a fun read. The math was over my head, but concepts are everywhere. They even covered burping in space. Thanx!
The concepts are the most important. The math helps with predictions or, in some cases, offers a bit deeper insight into the “how” or the “why” of physical phenomena. But it’s often not needed for a good appreciation of the mysteries of nature. Glad you enjoyed the article.
