The Costco thread MERGED

WL retails these all day long for $39
Well worth it.

Dan, funny how everything else in this country has an east coast bias… except wine! So annoying.

Mike, I agree, $39 is still good. But it’s really hard to buy at a higher price after having it at the special price. But I know what you’re saying.

I purchased four from the WL special and will be happy to send my final three of them to anyone for what I paid plus your shipping charges. Just not in my wheel house.

Erase it from your memory: ) It was a mistake and so not likely to see it again. The WL price is legit and a great wine to get introduced to what we make. We have always tried to be a great value.

That’s too bad, but many of us were fortunate enough to experience it, and therefore put you on the radar.

It’s an interesting exercise in marketing - you might have been upset by it, thinking it devalued the brand in some way - but it seems to have done only good for you.

Just saw it today for $29.99 at the Houston (Inner Loop) Costco and grabbed a bottle. There were a couple cases in the bin. Looking forward to checking it out.

OH NO!! headbang They are giving us grey hair…They said it was pulled. Thanks for letting me know.

This is true with the exception of 3 Costco locations in MA. MA allows one entity to only own no more than 3 licenses at once. These locations are Avon, Waltham and one other. The other locations follow your above statement; some dude rents space and brings in his own wines.

Todd, I have to agree with you on this marketing. I’m guessing that this wine is probably moving at the lower price point. It might not be where Gloria wanted it, but the market is clearly dictating the price. I can only think this as a good thing for Audelssa overall as it’s bringing new people into the fold with this winery. Personally I think you’re going to drive yourself crazy trying to chase down retailers selling it at a discount.

I don’t understand…you had Costco pull the wine from the bins? If so, why? Because of the $30 price tag?

The price should have never been that low retail. It was a communication error with our distributor there. I am glad some people got a chance to try it : )) That is certainly good.

2006 Dutton Goldfield Dutton Ranch-Freestone Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir @ $39 a bottle. Still for sale on the winery’s website for $58. Case and cases of it at West Plano Costco.

Marcona almonds. $8 for a 16oz canister. Nice.

2005 Angelus for $175.00

Matthews NC

2006 La Tour Carnet $29.95 in San Diego.

If ya wanna drink those, check out WineConn first. Max has a bit better deal there.

yeah, I checked it after posting. Max has a sick price. By far the lowest on WS.

2005 yquem half bottles for $525.99 at the Plano Costco.

Who’s in?

I picked up a few bottles of the 05 Zaca Mesa Syrah Estate grown at $16 each. It has a great nose and a nice rich midpallate. Not the most complex flavors but the nose and the mouthfeel are easily worth the $$.

The truck…back it up.
