Funny you should mention this T-Bone. A friend of mine was just invited over to a neighbor’s to toast the neighbor’s father. They opened a bottle of Old Charter from the 50’s (maybe 1959?) with the excise stamp intact. The note I got was “Sweet honey taste. The most smooth (?) bourbon ever. I came twice while sipping it.”
Now I cannot vouch for all that but, I would hope, for you, it is close! Let us know.
Ha ha, nice TN! Yes, I figure it might be a bit sweeter, and my buddy mixes it with Sprite (yes I know I need to beat him with a stick next time I see him but it won’t help).
Perhaps I’ll drink it while I apply Old Spice before I go out to pick up on the ladies of the evening. ;-D
I’m not a bourbon drinker at all and last night I had the Jefferson’s President’s Reserve 18 year old Bourbon. It made me an instant convert to Bourbon Whisky.
How do you guys store your extra bottles (unopened) until you get to them? I read somewhere in the last day, not about Bourbon, but another spirit that if you lay them on their side that the cork would taint the product. I am not refering to TCA, but just a ruining effect on the spirit. Is that true for Bourbon also?
Terrific whiskey and definitely worth a try, but clearly not as good as Pappy 20 if that’s your standard. I’m not completely objective - I sell the stuff - but to give you some idea of its quality I’d rather drink Noah’s Mill than Pappy 12.
