The Bourbon Thread

Forgot about the Sagamore cask strength, as I haven’t had it in a while. Definitely a great pour.

Another endorsement for Sagamore. Have not had a bad representation from them.

@Alan_Rath - K&L has the JD Single Barrell BP in stock right now at the $64.99 price point.

Thanks. I will probably give it a try. But I also kind of like the idea of supporting my small, local distiller, over the huge corporation lol.

Jack is family owned.

Not owned by Brown–Forman, NYSE publicly traded?

Brown family and relatives own around 75% of Brown Forman. Yes, publicly traded with Class A and Class B shares.

Just picked up a new store pick here in Miami. Not much of a Blantons fan, but the bottle was too cool to pass up.

the hype over the Camp Nelson (CN-X) bottlings seems to be real. For under $50, I’ll be grabbing another.

Kentucky Spirits are severely underrated - but where are you getting them under $50? Around here they’re ~$60+

I confused my WT’s - these are $59, the RR10 was $40-something.

Doesn’t that say CN-E? Why are you drinking it with Pepsi?

The X was a placeholder as I’ve seen nice notes on the F rickhouse as well. Been on a WT kick of late, just acquired an old split lable 12 year in trade.

WT has a certain viscosity and headiness that is really intriguing.

Pretty much everything CN- I’ve had has been great

Whoa,
I’m on their insider list but didn’t see that addition.
Not a huge old elk fan at their pricing but these are ridiculous prices, so I ordered one of each. Why not.

Plus they have Sipsmith VJOP @$40 too. We can’t even get it here and the regular is the same price.

Thanks

Damn, didn’t see that in my Insider’s Advantage email either. Would’ve loved to try the Infinity Blend. All gone.

Found one today…just cracked it - pretty tasty!

We have our Single Barrel release day throughout the state this AM.
Got up at 7 am took a look at the interwebs and see notations of 20-30-40 people in line. Keep in mind the locations were not even announced yet.
Pass on the whole process.

Reached to the back of the cabinet and pulled out my Stagg JR first release batch 1
2013 (134.4 still the highest proof)

Market makes it hard to chase these days even though I do enjoy a reasonable hunt!
