Title says it all…I’m looking for some hidden gems on this trip. Kudos for Italian
Not sure on wine stores, but this restaurant has a pretty nice list when I was there this summer and decent food too.
Spencer’s Restaurant at the Palm Springs Tennis Club, 701 W Baristo Rd, Palm Springs, CA 92262
Otherwise I’d love to know as well, as I’m out there once in a great while and so far haven’t found anything within the city itself.
L.A. Wine Store and Jensen’s markets.
If you mean L.A. Wine Company , I think it closed.
Oops, it’s been 3 years since I was in the Palm Springs area. Too bad.
Dude, you’re screwed.
We had ours shipped from K and L in LA when we visited my parents. The Cochella Valley is a wine and food wasteland.
I agree with David.Have something shipped from LA or SD or take a side trip.
Jensen’s had a decent selection…nothing crazy. I was happy with the Walla Walla Winery Merlot for $30 and I hit up Bev Mo for Au Bon Climat at $21. I don’t think it’s likely to have much I want to take home…but there’s enough here to last for the trip
I think the Jensen’s in Palm Desert has the best selection of any of their 3 or 4 stores in the area. Is that where you shopped?
There is a Total Wine in Palm Desert as well
Don’t waste time looking for anything special. Go to BevMo or TotalWine and just get something that’s good but not special.
We hit Total Wine today and I snagged the following:
2013 Bruno Giacossa Barbera d’Alba $26
2013 Bruno Giacossa Dolcetto $22
2014 Blanc de Lynch Bages $42
Along with a few other simple wines for mass consumption. I was happy enough.
