Stopped in to the new shop yesterday on our drive south. Beautiful space, with a lot of interesting wines. Assume they will eventually run some events there, maybe a daily tasting lineup? Assume posting a picture is ok

Thanks for stopping by @Alan_Rath most certainly we will be hosting tasting - hopefully in the next few weeks.
They are not - although I did speak to him about doing some. They are custom Onken style cabinets with Altec Drivers and Altec 288k Horns. The system is all Shindo - Corton-Charlemagne Monoblocks and Masseto Pre Amp with 2 rebuilt 301s restored by Woodsong Audio and he built a custom plinth with his first ever 2 in one set up.
I can go into more detail if you are deep into it!

I’ve told your team I’m taking them up on the offer to have my orders shipped to Brentwood. I have to see the store! Will risk traveling from Silver Lake even though I’ve heard I might fall over the edge of the earth at the Venice Blvd Exit and be eaten by dragons.

Just went and paid my respects - it’s a gorgeous shop, well-attended and the folks working there are very friendly. @Robert_Dentice, you might be interested in this part:
(Also, it turns out to be around the corner from the old Pioneer Chicken, which used to be in a space the dry cleaners has expanded into.)
I visited on the 2nd day. Sadly they were doing some work on the system and I could not hear it. I am in LA and plan on stopping in this week.

I love tube equipment too (Cary 805B, Wavelength, Supretek, Music Reference, Metronome).
I hope it’s okay to use this thread (among others to come) to let people know that we’re coordinating with Thatchers for a Kikuhime sake tasting on Friday, April 4 from 3PM to 7PM at the Brentwood store. Both Jonathan and I will be there and pouring across the range of sake, including some very exciting aged examples that are on the lists at top Japanese restaurants around the country, and only available from us or one store in Tokyo!
