That gold medal package is NO JOKE. I’ve been lucky enough to taste most of Lisa’s wines and love the Scheurebe, Wunderwerk, and Greiner Chardonnay in particular. Getting them all together is a great deal!

My new producer Max Greiner from Markgraeflerland in Baden got 98 points :trophy: for his Estate Chardonnay 2024, $39! I am restocking my warehouse this week and I’m getting the last few cases of it. It’s part of the Berserker Gold Medal Bundle

The secret is to be out east where 8 isn’t 8!

I’ve really enjoyed everything from the Margarethenhof stable. Just had the 2020 Ayler Kupp Kabinett and it was in a great place…loved by everyone around the table. Glad to have some more Margarethenhof on the way.

Here are some notes about the Greiner Chardonnay! The Chardonnay vines Selection Massale from Burgundy. After being hand-harvested, the grapes are gently pressed, and the juice flows directly into traditional oak barrels. The fermentation happens spontaneously in used French and German oak, only around 5% new oak. Aging happens in barrels without bâtonnage. Full lees for approximately one year, and bottled unfiltered, unfined and a small sulfur add.
