Dandelion wine shop in Brooklyn has one bottle of the 2019 Cedric Bouchard Presle for $262.50. It’s not really worth it for me to buy one bottle and have it shipped, but for someone local it’s not bad. They won’t be making this anymore as they’ve sold the vineyard.

Wally’s has Billecart-Salmon ‘Cuvee Elisabeth Salmon’ Brut Rose Millesime 2010 for $150, in stock with no six bottle minimum or any of that noise.

I haven’t had that vintage yet, but it’s one of the very best Champagnes at any price point.

Any price point?

2001 Altagracia for $50: https://shop.klwines.com/products/details/1131399

Chris,
While I love this cuvée, I’m going to pass despite the great price. 2010 was challenging, and it feels like it was an afterthought to release this. Even their website jumps from 2009 to 2012, with no mention of a 2010 vintage. That suggests to me that initially much of what would have been Cuvée Elisabeth went into their Millésime Rosé, with a late decision to release this tête de cuvée. There’s not a tasting note to be found (professional or otherwise) on CT, and a cursory web search drew a blank. That said, I’ve never had a bottle of this cuvée that wasn’t fantastic, so there is some temptation.
Cheers,
Warren

Edited: see my post below. It’s a mistake. There is no 2010 Cuvée Elisabeth

I can say that the vintage rose was very nice in '10.

Probably because of all of the declassified Cuvée Elisabeth in it

Never mind. I think I solved the mystery. There is no 2010 Cuvée Elisabeth. Wally’s has the 2010 Billecart Salmon Cuvee Brut Rose for $150, which they list properly. Both CellarTracker and WineSearcher have it listed incorrectly. I notified WineSearcher.

What was supposed to be the 2010 Billecart-Salmon Elisabeth Rose just became a one-off vintage Rose release. Billecart didn’t feel the 2010 was worthy of the Elisabeth name and price tag. This is similar to what Bollinger did with the 2006 vintage Rose (that was originally intended to be the Grande Annee Rose).

So they won’t be making a “regular” vintage rose any longer? Shame. It was a nice wine

Looks a shade high. Several places at about $100. I bought mine at $93.47/bottle when it was first released

I should also have said: on the most important aspect, I have enjoyed the wine a lot. So you aced it from that standpoint.

Well hell, good thing I posted on here about it. Thanks @Warren_Taranow and @Brad_Baker for clarifying.

looks like they didnt want to sell it at that price

Neal,

Who knows if they will make a vintage Rose again. My guess is that they will depending on future vintages, supply, and the response to the 2010 Rose. Long ago they made a vintage Rose and then switched to NV only until the late 80s when the Elisabeth Salmon Rose was launched. Their BdB used to be a strict vintage BdB until they decided to release a NV version in the early 2000s and then up the vintage to the prestige level with the Louis Salmon in 2006 (simply Cuvee Louis for the 2006 vintage). Billecart will likely be careful with a Rose expansion as their NV is extremely popular. For them to have the Elisabeth, NV Rose, and a vintage Rose in the portfolio, it will take more wine supply especially of higher quality red wine and I don’t see Billecart risking the quality of the NV just to have a vintage Rose enter the ragne.

Really interesting and diverse burgundy offering from Chambers today. Some good prices at all pricepoints.

Rochambeau wines has a selection of Cedric Bouchard for pretty decent prices, 149 for VV, 249 for ursules
