Tempting wine purchases you’ve passed on—give others a shot

If you create a cart you can enter your zipcode for an estimate. I’m in SF so the cost was a $15 “uber delivery.”

Haha that’s what I’m trying to avoid! Thanks!

6 bottles of 2022 Dauvissat La Forest for $77.99 a bottle.

Anyone near Nantucket MA? Looks like this shop doesn’t ship out of state (or to Washington at least). Hopefully someone can capitalize :call_me_hand:

Amazing deal- I looked at their site and they only deliver to those on Nantucket Island itself, which is a big trip for anyone in the mainland. So the audience for this deal is very small!

I wonder what are the odds that isn’t a mistake, too. Could be the regular Chablis, not La Forest 1er. Still would be a good price, but nothing crazy.

These wines should be a lot cheaper, and I’ve stumbled upon them from time to time at very reasonable prices. Based on wine list prices in Burgundy, Domaine wholesale on 2020 Village was around $25 and $40 for La Forest. This looks like honest retail markup sadly :man_shrugging:

it’s a $70 wholesale in America, I used to sell them. Are you saying everything is cheaper when you omit importer mark up and transporting it across the Atlantic?

The ferry to Nantucket from the Cape is an hour on the high speed pedestrian only ferry, or 2+ hours on the ‘traditional’ ferry. So even for people on the Cape this would be a bit of an excursion!

I’m talking about pricing in France not post Vineyard Brand’s markup, but just speculation at this point. Great price either way :man_shrugging:

This is not Vineyard Brands. This is essentially the Dauvissat-Camus version, even though they seem to have retired that label.

I’m confused, the wine indicates Rene et Vincent which is what VB imports.

Based on what I can tell, it appears that at some point in the last couple of years they retired the Camus label. There is still the separate Camus supply chain I believe, just with the normal Rene et Vincent front label. I have 2022 La Forest with the normal non-Camus label, but it is NOT Vineyard Brands.

Many total wines in Florida have the LDH Tondonia Blanco available for pickup only for $67.

That’s a great deal. Got some in the shopping cart but found out they don’t ship to TX! May be a blessing in disguise for my wallet…

Boy that looks like a really great buy on the Figeac. And yes I was tempted but then I thought about all the wine I already have I won’t live long enough to drink and landed on WTF is wrong with me?

For anyone in RI or SE Mass, store down Newport selling 20019 Frogs Leap Estate Cab for $30 (and 2021 Ca’ Marcanda (Gaja) Magari for $50)
