If you search for it via the 67 Wine website itself you won’t find the 2016 Dunn Napa Valley, only the Howell Mountain. You can still access the Napa Valley page via wine-searcher, but if you go try to add any quantity of the Napa Valley to your cart you will get a notification that it is out of stock.
I whiffed on some Sami-Odi little wine that was for sale at K&L recently. I was waiting to use my Amex Plat $30 monthly PayPal credit and someone grabbed the remaining bottles by the time I went back.
Replied to their email with the BS out of stock explanation noting I saw it back in stock on their site to see if they’d honour my purchase price. No dice
I knew it was a long shot, but figured I’d try. Their reply:
“Thank you for reaching out. We had run into an inventory failure with our web provider, which also skewed the price into a different item’s data. After recovering the data properly, we are able to again offer the wine. Unfortunately the price that was posted at the time you saw it listed is well below our cost of the item. We apologize for the confusion”
the same thing happened to me during the Crush wine progressive sale this weekend. 2017 Drouhin Clos des Mouches was $84.99 and I ordered as soon as the website. got a confirmation, then a few minutes later got an email cancelling the order because it was out of stock. pretty disappointed, that was a great price!
