Tempted to buy a “broken” Allavino

Saw this posted on FB Marketplace. 172 bottle fridge, post says it runs, cold air comes out but temp doesn’t change. I’m assuming this is a somewhat straightforward fix by a pro.

For one of them at $225 I’m tempted to buy it and get it fixed. Any thoughts to sway me fellow degenerates?

I had a king’s bottle I purchased from Amazon that worked for 2 years and broke. Was impossible to find anyone to work on it. Depending on the price, might be worth it. If you’re handy - you also might figure it out.

Just a word of caution - I could not find anyone to fix my thousand dollar 176 bottle wine fridge.

I bought a cheap wine fridge awhile back that the owner said the temperature didn’t change. Took the knob off and adjusted it manually with a screwdriver. Just a little piece of plastic had broke. Maybe you’ll get lucky and it’s simple?

I did a quick google search and there are appliance companies near me who advertise wine fridge repair. If I get closer to actually pulling the trigger I’ll probably reach out and line up repair prior to buying

What temp is it stuck at?

Not sure, I haven’t gone to look at it myself. I’m just pondering right now before taking a closer look.

Honestly, if it’s just the sensor at that price, grab a Sensorpush and adjust using that…

If its stuck on temps you would normally use then it shouldn’t matter anyways

work smart, not hard.

He says “temp doesn’t drop” so it’s not stuck on a cool temp.

Not cool.
