Telluride restaurants, etc.?

Anyone got tips? I like the looks of Wood Ear, There…, and maybe The Grand? And of course Butcher and Baker for breakfast. Anywhere decent to buy wine?

There is fun.
If you want to do a beautiful drive, head down to Rico past Trout Lake, Lizard head, Ophir.
There’s a funky liquor store called the Motherload. Not great prices, I mean you’re in Rico, but eclectic one off bottles, some with a little dust on them. The owner may or may not be half in the bag himself.
You can also try Fireweed Cafe in town.
Rico is a trip in many ways. Buy some real estate while you’re there. You won’t regret it in 10 years.

I had an excellent meal at The National back in February.

Although it’s very popular and constantly packed, I find the pizza at Brown Dog to be way too doughy and undercooked. I wonder if it’s an altitude thing as I’ve had similar experiences at other mountain town pizza places.

Nice, we’ll be staying up the village, perfect.

National and Cosmopolitan are my two favorite places for dinner in Telluride. Both are in town but a short walk from the gondola station.
