Teeny Tiny Wineries of... Oregon

Scott - forgot the Riesling - yes, that was excellent as well! As much as I love Oregon Pinot and Chard, always fun to taste with someone who goes beyond that. Oregon Riesling and Gamay can be outstanding as well. Cheers!

Reviewed these Project M wines for the Newbie Palooza today. Really enjoyed them. Recommend you take a look at their offering.

That is now my current oldest Willamette Valley bottle in my cellar purchased on release(so not including recent Herbfarm purchases).

I keep meaning to open it and then just decide to keep it a bit longer.

You should have some type of drag race with it… a proper throw down.

It’s a mystery baby.

No Trathan Hall (Berserker Winery) on the list.

Updated with Tekstura and Trathen - I think that’s all of them I hadn’t added. Let me know if I’m missing any additions.

Thanks Max! You are the best.

Did you label the wineries that participated in Newbie Palooza as Berserkers?

FWIW, Chris Barnes is the owner of Chris James Cellars and is likely the one who recommended the winery. While my name is Chris James, I have no connection or affiliation with the winery beyond coincidentally having the same name. I can’t even say that I’m flattered for them naming the winery after me.

Okay, NOW it should be fully updated with Berserker Newbies and Chris James’ disowning of Chris James Cellars.

Hey Max here are a couple more: Arabilis Winery and Falcon Stoop Winery. I moved my production to Björnson as you know and these two wineries are there…. Hadn’t heard of them before. Very impressed with Arabilis’s sparkling projects in particular. Falcon Stoop’s first year was 2020, just a few barrels. Tough year to launch a Pinot, but the Auxerois is pretty nice.

Added - might want to let Falcon Stoop know their SEO is lacking for their website. Their Instagram is the first result, but their website doesn’t even show on the first page.

another that I should have added long ago:

Pierce Wines

A Columbia Gorge Riesling project by Jessica Pierce.

Jess is a key team member at Walter Scott, focused on Marketing, Sales and Wine Education.

I believe she is on her 4th vintage.
