2008 Sojourn Cabernet Sauvignon Home Ranch Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (10/16/2016)
The '08 has been sitting in my cellar since 2011, and I’ve been looking forward to tasting one with some age on it. My first Home Ranch was in tasted in 2009 with the '06 vintage. It was the wine that turned me on to Sojourn. I enjoy the pinot noirs with age, so why not the cab. At p’n p, this tasted what a 8 year old California Cab should taste like. Very smooth. Elegant. Rich and full bodied. Drank with friends. I certainly got my moneysworth on this $39 bottle. I wish I had more. -
2014 Sojourn Pinot Noir Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (9/17/2016)
Took the first taste after 60 minutes of slow ox. Spice. Fruit. Beautiful color, which is what you’d expect from a Sojourn. I thought this was exceptional value and QPR. I’ve tasted every RRV since the '10 vintage, and this didn’t disappoint. Craig sent this to me for tasting. -
2014 Sojourn Pinot Noir Wohler Vineyard Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (9/3/2016)
A muted purple color. 14% alch. This was ready to drink on pop 'n pour. Full/Rich/Enhanced wine. Spice and cherries. After 60 minutes, this was really delicious. A wonderful wine, and my note says one of the best of the '14 Sojourns that I’ve tasted. The bottle was empty after 90 minutes. Craig sent this to me for tasting.
