    Drank this at The Cookery in Dobbs Ferry ($10 corkage) with my one of my wine friends. From the first taste, this is delicious. The color was fuller than a traditional pinot. Tasted fruits. This is a very smooth wine, that was easy to drink. There is a hint of sweetness to this that begs continued drinking. Purchased this 18 months ago. This still has plenty of life left to it. (92 pts.)
  • 2005 Novy Family Wines Syrah Christensen Family Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (1/10/2010)
    Dark and somewhat fruity. A nice nose of pepper. This really starts to show at 90 minutes. Very smooth and full-bodied. Picked this up at a visit to Siduri/Novy 18 months ago for $24. On day 2, this was still rocking. I popped this to drink with a Lobel burger. (90 pts.)

Great notes on both wines. I had the DS during the holidays. I recommend continuing to cellar this for at least two more years. Great wine with lots of life!
