Keever.
WOW! Thank you for all of the referrals. Now I need to review and see who we can work in amongst our schedule. Thanks again, I will be sure to report who we get to and our thoughts.
Cheers!
Limerick lane makes some good syrah and syrah blends
SHANE (Finley)
If I could get into one place it would be Colgin.
Agree - David Ramey flies a bit under the radar but the Ramey Rodgers Creek Syrahs I have had were excellent.
Celia does a great job with that one.
Also Copain/Carlisle/A-R/Windgap as previously recommended
Skylark’s Syrah from Rodgers Creek Vineyard is even better.
last i checked keever’s syrah was no longer, but was a great one.
bevan and riverrain are top shelf. both totally reflecting the terroir of bennett valley while stylistically being on opposite ends of the spectrum.
Shafer makes a Syrah/Petit Syrah blend (Relentless) that is mighty tasty. They are in Napa.
Peay.

2010 was the last vintage. Estrella River clone from the Page-Nord vineyard.
In Sonoma: Balletto, Loxton, Dutton-Goldfield, Russian Hill
Siduri makes some fine syrah under their Novy lable, You need to make an appointment.
+1 for Wind Gap, Arnot-Roberts, Peay, Ramey
Also I have enjoyed a couple of Failla’s syrahs
In Napa, don’t miss Lagier Meredith if you can make an appointment with Steve & Carole.
In Sonoma, a lesser-known place that’s worth checking out is MacLaren - they have a tasting room right off the plaza in Sonoma.
If you’re interested, some notes from visits to both those places late last year:
Napa and Sonoma - December 2014
I just went to Lagier Meredith’s web site and ordered a couple bottles of their Syrah including '08 vintage. Thanks for the recommendation.
Has anyone mentioned Apsara???
FYI, Quivet and Myriad are sold out. Nothing Syrah taste.
+1 on Wind Gap, Eric Kent and Scherrer
Sonoma side check out Baker Lane. Under the Radar.
Napa side try Apsara and Campesino
I’ve got some Apsara. The first bottle I opened did not meet my expectations. However, I think it was too young… needs several years in the bottle IMO.
Bevan has an excellent Syrah.
Russell is a on a roll. Everything I’ve had of his lately is fantastic.
