Superbowl Wines!

Here are a couple of wines I brought over to my Son’s house for Superbowl Sunday.

  • 2012 Bedrock Wine Co. Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (2/3/2014)
Outstanding Zin! Deep, rich, and full flavored with mineral aspects and good acidity and tannins. The nose shows earthy black currant and mineral notes. The palate adds some briary dark fruit and pepper to the acidity and tannins with an excellent finish that shows that this wine may be one of the longest lasting Zins I have ever had. (94 pts.)

  • 2009 Quilceda Creek Palengat Red Wine - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Horse Heaven Hills (2/2/2014)
Excellent deep, rich Cab blend. Has a nose of spice, chocolate and cassis. Dark fruits add to the cassis on the palate. Excellent structure, good acidity and refined tannins with a very nice medium length finish. Very enjoyable. (94 pts.)

Mr Callahan, good to see you posting notes and sharing. Thank you. Hope you are well, buddy.

All my father brought to the big game when I was growing up was Manachievitz. I got robbed.

Ha my dad loved Coors for the superbowl.
