I get requests all the time via PM, E-Mail and inline about recipes and cooking techniques for all sorts of things. How about a subforum where we can collectively share favorite recipes, ask questions and have a more focused environment on food preparation?

Bill brought this to my attention and I have no problem with it. I suggested, however, that he ask the forum community for their thoughts so we could get some feedback on the new subforum - whether some/most would like to have it neatly organized as such, or if it just means more mess, another forum to visit, etc.

Any further board shattering seems excessive to me. I’m not entirely ‘anti’, I just don’t see what purpose it would serve. It’s not like it would be alphabetical or in some other way indexed better than the regular Food forum so you still have to search.

Why not some sort of recipe icon within the food forum like the CT icon in the wine forum? When you scroll through, it would be clear and easy to locate and search the posts including recipes.

Maybe it’s my computer, but fwiw that icon is barely visible.

I agree. I have a 19" flat panel and it is almost invisible to me.

I used it on this thread, too - hopefully people will get the hang of using it for recipe threads. The Mods can also add them later.
