2000 bdx is drinking in peak form.
That or the 2001 if you like old world.
A 2014 myriad and any 2000 bdx are in different worlds in terms of style, which is a personal choice
Every CT note on the 2000 calon has said it’s not ready. I only have one more bottle of this and it was one of our wedding wines so I’m not going to open it yet. Maybe in 5 years.
Zachys had the Calon Segur 2000 to taste this past weekend, it was open for at least two hours and was good but did not wow me. Probably will be ready in a few more years, like you said.
Had the 2008 Materium a week ago. That wine still has a lot of life left. It will definitely need the hour of decant time.
