The Joy of Cooking used to contain recipe for squirrel. I’m not sure if the current edition contains a recipe; I’ll need to check.
Apparently, squirrel meat is supposed to be very tasty - lean and tender.
I’m thinking a young CDP would pair well.

We shoot them all the time here in Arkansas. We usually grill them whole after cleaning, or cut them up, like in the video and fry them in peanut oil. Coated with a light dusting of seasoned flour. It takes a “mess” of em to make a meal. Some damn good ole country eatin.

I’m more of a Gerbil type guy.
