my allocations have dropped over the past few years (no change in buying behavior) and have been told its to let additional people on the list, which is a good thing. I am curious if others have had similar experience

Nope, my allocations have steadily increased (slowly) over the years. A shipping arriving tomorrow is my largest allocation ever, by far.

my allocation has been pretty much the same but i was offered set of mag several years ago…and that was just once. now i don’t even get to wish list mags…

Just a few Years ago Elaine used to be the one who would call the day before the offer was set to close and remind me to place my order. They have changed their allocation system where the wines now sell out well before that, but I was always amazed at that personal customer service when that was the model.

Elaine is the best. A couple of years ago I was waiting for 2 boxes, but shipping was delayed due to warm weather. I was having a Thanksgiving dinner for family and was counting on opening some of the wines then. I called and Elaine allowed me to drive to their warehouse and pick up the wines in person (although saying we don’t normally allow this). I picked up the 2 cases and had a great Thanksgiving.
