I just finished reading through a couple of AMA’s (Ask Me Anything’s) on Reddit for both Les Stroud (Survivorman) and Matt Damon. Reddit has become quite popular and has at least one AMA a week from someone you’ve probably heard of: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/

It got me thinking why WB only has had 3 “Special Guests” to date when there are clearly many knowledgable people ITB (in the business) who we could all learn from. While many of these people are active on the board, its often in response to an offering or something specific, and not a free-for-all like an AMA. I propose we make these more often and let these folks speak their mind, initially extended to WB frequenters. We’ve got Mike Officer, Adam Lee, Kevin Harvey, Morgan Twain-Peterson, Loren Grossman, William Segui, and so many other knowledge people in our midst!

It seems to me that most of the winemakers who participate here have been part of the greater discussion for so long that they wouldn’t feel that there’s any new ground to cover. We’ve already pitched in our 2 cents worth.
