I believe the three major Spanish brandies you’re likely to find are:
Cardenal Mendoza,
Grand Duque d’Alba, and
Lepanto.
I like the Grand Duque d’Alba myself. Quite smooth, with a nice sweet finish.
Spanish brandies lean towards the sweet side, in general.
The prune, cream sherry, nut flavors are some of the attractions.
As I recall, it has been a while since I did any comparisons, the Lepanto style is a bit more dry than the others.
Last time I bought any, the Grand Duque comes in a velvet lined box, and the Cardenal Mendoza comes in a cork box.
Thanks T! Gotta jump on this today so appreciate the prompt response and detail.

+1 on Lepanto if you can find it
