The world wants a Sideways II.
Make it Gewurztraminer or Riesling this time.
Gewurztraminer would be perfect and I could envision a dump bucket scene with the Gevurtz!
There is a book sequel. It was just ok-
There was also a third book: Sideways Chile, which was mediocre, and I guess the author came out with Sideways 4, New Zealand. There was also a Japanese version made a while ago, but I didnât watch it because itâs in Japanese. I donât think anyone has an appetite for another wine fueled weakly raunchy middle aged bro dramedy.
You must be new here
This is why OR is thankfully still relatively flying under the radar.
Slight tangent.
I watched Old School (without commercials and unedited) for the first time in forever, and was like âwhy donât they make movies like this anymore?â Same with Animal House.
Still plenty of super pricey wines there without the Hollywood glam ![]()
Iâd love to know how Milesâ palate has evolved!
I do think heâd be an Oregon drinker.
I picture Miles as a sort of Lester Bangs of wine appreciation. I hope he was a successful writer. (Plus, I would watch Paul Giamatti the lyrics to âPop Musicâ by M.)
Do you remember Groove Tube and Kentucky Fried Movie?
I would have liked to see Dazed and Confused as an ongoing serial.
A while ago Grape Radio did an interview with the bookâs author. He sounded pretty bitter about selling the rights for $5000.
Of course!
Would be funnier if it was Merlot.
