I enjoy the burgers and the fries… but go to the one near my apartment at 8PM or whatever on a weeknight… order and eat within 10 minutes… Would I wait 2 hours, no… but then I have easy access.
The long wait in the park is not really the same thing as waiting outside a Chipotle in the burbs for an hour. You’re in the park. You’re people watching. You spot the occasional rodent. I’ve waited in that line a half a dozen times. It doesn’t really equate to waiting an hour because it’s the best burger in NY.
Went to the Shake Shack in Chicago for the first time a couple of weeks ago at 2:30 in the afternoon. No line, but it still took over 10 minutes to get the burger

Went to the one in Westport last year. No wait and I like everything. Not amazing, and not as cheap as McD’s, but I’d go back in a second.
