SF BYOB Update?

The forum info here is a little too ancient to be useful. Any new news on BYOB in SF?

Bump. Are there no BYOB in SF?

Bizarro World?

just got back from s.f… both great place to dine!

liholiho yacht club $20 above avg stems
state bird provision $30 avg stems

First time I’ve noticed notes on stems for BYOB.

Wanna share a few BYOB places in the city that I’ve been to recently.

Cafe Boho - Tuesday free corkage (no limit)

Zazie - Tuesday free corkage (no limit)

Alamo Square Seafood and Grill - Wednesday free corkage with purchase for 2 courses per person

Piccolo Forno - no corkage everyday

Feastly (private pop-up dinners) - no corkage

Chou Chou French Bistro - Tuesday free corkage

Cheers!! champagne.gif champagne.gif

I was just quoted $30 at Liholiho Yacht Club. Not sure if that’s a recent increase or an incorrect quote.

It’s $30 if you bring your own yacht.

Stretching this thread out to include the peninsula

Both Selbys in Atherton and the Village Pub in Woodside allow byob but the corkage fee is a hefty $100 (or used to be, it may be higher now). Note these are high end restaurants so it’s easy to bring in a nice bottle and still come out way ahead even w the corkage. Limit of 2 bottles.

Notably, selbys is right next door to K&L so it is quite simple to pop into K&L and grab some awesome wine on your way to dinner.

Los Altos Grill in downtown los altos lets you byo and no corkage fee. food is pretty good also. great choice on the peninsula

Pakwan on 16th and Guerrero is BYO: San Francisco 16th St – Pakwan Restaurant

I recommend bringing stemware if you care about that, otherwise you’ll have to make do with metal cups. Most folks bring in glass beer bottles as a result.

Another great one on the peninsula - Roja in downtown Los Altos. Food is outstanding, one of the owners is great (James) and likes to taste what you bring! Our new go-to spot for wine dinners.

hm—it says $35 per bottle on their website.
