SF Bay Area/ Peninsula April 23, Sole

Fake news? :stuck_out_tongue:

No fake news here. Might have been before, but things have changed and so has ownership.

Ok so let’s see if we’re game.
For me I vote for April 23 as it works better.

Any votes for where?

Since Andrew will be gone, Sole is an option again. :stuck_out_tongue:

23rd and Sole work for me.

Good for me

Ok

I believe that I can make it.

Howdy all. I was generously invited to check the offlines by Craig G. Have not attended a function and not sure how it goes. Is there a theme for the April get together? Does the restaurant provide stems? How many bottles are each person expected to bring?

Usually one bottle per person, or up to twelve if you’re George. We bring our own stems. George asks the staff to wash his on the way in.

True stories.

Generally there is no fixed theme for the Peninsula group.

Craig, bring out your dead… 98 VT

Ok, list updated and reservation made.

I ask them to wash my what?

23rd works for me. Let me see if I can +1 that.

Sorry, I was paid to sign a non-disclosure.

Dan, please add the esteemed PaulB to the list.

Ok I added PaulB and Scott (who I saw earlier today).
I think we should cap at ten.
With Yao we are at 11, which is fine.
Any others I’ll start a waitlist.

I propose we do two or three themes, so we can group them together.

As usual I’d like Burg and still have that damn 96 Griotte that still has a cork in it…
I think Scott mentioned Italian…
But open to ideas…or none at all…

After 10 days of the real deal in Piemonte/Bologna and CH, Sole won’t even begin to cut it. Think of going to Sizzler for steak after eating a Flannery dry aged strip. neener

Will be hauling back several kilos of raclette so a dinner of glorious melted cheese will be in the cards for end of April/early May.

Confirming; looking forward to it! champagne.gif

No Gene? Gene, I still have your Champ.

i think i brought at least 4 the couple times i’ve had dinner with them. They said it was required =(
