What wines accompany MREs??
One of their meals was re worked from a WWII fave…it is now called Shitake on Toast.
I would bet a lot of people passed on it already if there is an article about it being for sale vs being sold.
just read it sold for 34M to a LLC
I thought that Roy Piper was the winemaker at Seven Stones? This artilce says that the winemaker is Aaron Pott. I have a few bottles of the 2013 that I am still holding on to, I opened one about 3 years ago and it was still way too young…
Roy worked there soon after he first moved to Napa. Not sure the titles he had.
Any name of LLC?
Aaron Pott was the winemaker. Roy headed up the marketing/hospitality efforts.
I visited up there once, back in 2016 or 17 I believe.
Beautiful estate, killer views, and really good wine (tasted the 2014 and 2011 if I recall accurately).
Wish I had the coin to snap that property up- one can dream, right?
When building my current cellar a few years ago I needed to hide some piping in a corner. A wine barrel seemed like the perfect solution. After calling around, I ended up with a Seven Stones barrel!

We visited him there years ago.
