Secrets of a Restaurant Chef

Finally Food Network has given a show to a respectable chef (Anne Burrell). She’s still very raw but at least she’s really cooking.

She’s dumbed it down a bit but hopefully she’ll spice it up in the future.

I cringed last week when she poured about a quarter cup of olive oil into a skillet to sear lamb chops but yeah, she’s pretty good. Even puts her hands in the food.

I confess that Guy Fieri is growing on me, but only because the camera loves him and he’s so at ease. Weird, but at ease.

I was up at the crack of dawn yesterday (still re-setting my clock from Euro-time) and happened to see some of TMZ ranking on Celebs at airports. One of the bits was “Here’s Paula Dean who always says, ‘Use a stick of butter, two would be better.’… I bet she has the very special edition of Last Tango in Paris on DVD at home…”

I did a spit take with my coffee!
