Allocations should arrive soon if last years’ schedule remains.
Any idea what to expect quality wise? How was 2021? Have there been reviews lately or at all?
Many thanks

According to Galloni…“Dazzles from start to finish…dark, savory, explosive…deftly marries power and finesse like few vintages I can remember tasting…yields down 25%. 98-100pts”
I guess a green light to buy!
Thank you!
This release should be any day now. correct?
Spot on; today, as I was informed by winery.
Allocation is live. $4,050 three pack.
So $1350/b … assuming shipping is another hundred bucks, let’s say cost basis is $1400/b. That’s no longer the slam dunk 4-6x immediate ROI. After fees and such, you’d be lucky to 2x at this point. Still, very good immediate ROI, but at $1400/b I wonder if the waiting list won’t move a little bit?
This may be a good place to use my 100 dollar Buckley certificate.
I thought I’d read somewhere recently that they have not added anyone to the active mailing list in more than 10 years. Most recent batch was in 2012 for those that signed up in 2006
up from 3750
Anybody get 1st time offer by any chance ?? If so , any idea when you signed up ??
This is correct. I asked SE nearly a decade ago and they had, at that time, recently added everyone who signed up in 2006.
I signed up Feb 2007 and haven’t seen an offer.
I forgot - did they release a 2020?
Cheers
they did
Somebody will move up the list this year. My friend and I decided to stop buying after 14 years.
I wonder how many DMs you’ll be receiving today requesting to take your allocation
The list hasn’t moved in 12 years or something. I’m certain many people have stopped buying for one reason or another over the years. Where are their allocations going? I’d imagine to new VIPs that slide past the list. Or maybe they have a secondary market channel in Asia that they sell some cases for double. Either way I highly doubt the main list is going to move any time soon.
Guessing it’s mostly the former. They’re probably selling some out the side door to retail in Asia or auction houses, but they also don’t seem purely motivated by maximizing revenue. For instance, if they were, why don’t they have a third wine like Harlan has the Mascot or even a “negotiant” label sourcing fruit from elsewhere in Napa? They could undoubtedly make several thousand cases of wine at a $250/b price point and sell through it – probably just to people on the waiting list trying to jockey for position and get access to Screagle.
If I recall the vineyard itself is 60 acres. Plenty of space for a larger production. The fruit must be going somewhere.
I remember back in the 01 vintage there was some kind of leak or insider info on who got it and everybody was buying this $20 wine tricking ourselves into fantasy land. I can’t remember the name anymore.
