Thanks Joe. Sounds like a good tasting. The Bussola I have had on multiple occasions and I really enjoy - thought I believe they were different vintages. They make some very nice Amarones of course and that is where I tend to migrate.

Interesting note on the Barolo. Will be interesting to see if this is the norm from the vintage. Just now seeing the 05s out there. Or maybe I have not been paying attention (probably more likely the case).

On the two Baroli, the '05 seems to be more approachable now, particularly by your notes on the nose - is that your recollection also? From what I’ve read overall on ‘05, they are workin’ pretty well right now, whereas the '04’s are tannic monsters unless they are purposely made in a more modern, early-drinking style. I put most of my '04’s away, but the '05’s are calling to me, what few I have.

That’s exactly what I was thinking at the time myself. The 2005 doesn’t seemed to have shut down yet but I would fully expect it to shut down and shut down hard sometime before the end of the year. The 2004 is pretty tight already so it’ll likely emerge at the other end of the tunnel before the 2005 does. My two cents worth.
