Thanks for this Brady, as for some reason I did not get the save the date email (yep, checked spam as well).

When did you get the email?

Rich, I received the email yesterday around 10am PT

My email from Sandlands arrived around 1pm Eastern yesterday.

10 am yesterday.

As part of my (finally starting) efforts to reduce, I unsubscribed from Sandlands yesterday. Just one of many that are dropping off my radar this year. I hope others get to enjoy.

Gotcha! Thanks for the heads up

Have to see the offer, will cut back some bottles.

Interested in seeing what the blend of Napa white is. Love their cinsault and Mataro.

Wow! Thanks. Looking forward to this one.

I’m all stocked up, but for those looking to try to Sandlands with a little bit of age on em, there’s some solid bottles on Winebid this week.

So do these need age? How much typically? I tried a table wine on a pop n pour shortly after arriving and found it puckeringly tart and acidic.

Check out this thread. There appear to be many different opinions on the matter, however.

“Aging Sandlands Wines”

Almost every tasting note I have read encourages at least a couple of hours’ decanting prior to drinking an opened bottle.

I have these wines back to 2013 and still can’t figure it out. Sometimes it feels like it’s a bottle to bottle thing.

Ha! I go back and forth as well but have found that for the reds especially, I like a least a few years of age on them. They don’t need a LOT of time in bottle, but IMHO they do integrate nicely and are much more enjoyable after three+ years.

For the chenin, I thought that I would enjoy them with extended aging but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’ve opened a 2013 Amador chenin twice in the past year and liked it much less than a couple years prior.

It’s live.

In for two of each, a nice even case.

Order in! I was late to the game last time around.

Picked up the Chenin and White Table Wine, with a few extra wish requests.

Grabbed some Chenin, Mataro, and Red Table Wine. Can’t vouch for aged bottles but PNP’d a 2019 Red Table Wine and a 2019 Zinfandel late last year and enjoyed both tremendously.
