This board is not Cali-centric so it is understandable that the thread count on Bevan Cellars isn’t huge.

What I don’t understand is how folks will pay so much for Harlan and Screaming Eagle and somehow Bevan hasn’t made that leap in pricing. Maybe soon now that the 100’s have been achieved.

Russell wants people to buy his wine and drink it. I bet he spends more per bottle in terms of production too.

Definitely. Removes pips by hand. Maximizes the potential of every vineyard he’s touched.

Count me as another huge fan of Russell and Victoria and their wines! Tasting with Russell is an experience you won’t forget, and Victoria is the absolute best in terms of customer service. I’m just waiting for Russell to finally break down and bottle a 100% cab franc…

Westerhold Syrah (with RB as winemaker) won the HdR Syrah shootout ( blind judging by syrah winemakers) once at least and I’m not sure but maybe a second time!

You’re right, Mel - it won in both 2010 and 2011.

Very much doubt it. Especially since they own and farm vineyards, and he purchases fruit.

Well, it is $50 at Costco and $80 at Total Wine in Dallas.

The Bevan wines are some of our favorites.
Tasted with Victoria and Russell in the middle of harvest last year.
Could not have had a better time, exceptional wines and people.
