Had these three beauts in Paris last week. Very fairly priced off various restaurant lists.
2019 Dureuil-Janthial Rully 1er Cru Le Meix Cadot Blanc : A beautiful nose of lemon, white flowers and peach. It was calm and even in the mouth, with interplay between fruit, flower and mineral. The finish was seriously chalky and salty and energetic, with length to burn.
2017 Dureuil-Janthial Rully 1er Cru Le Meix Cadot Blanc : Starts off tight and flinty. There’s some lemon fruit with air along with pineapple husk. It has flesh but is contained. Smoky mineral notes are prevalent, and the finish is chalky, loaded with dry extract and long.
2014 Dureuil-Janthial Rully Maizières Blanc: Ignited the tastebuds. So much lemon and grapefruit. Good shape and intensity and a finish that has loads of chalk and salt. Beautifully balanced and detailed.
