Roy you have been an absolute pleasure during this release. To your availability and transparency leading up to and during release I can see why folks are chomping at the bit for your wines. I am personally excited to try them myself this year. Some others out there could surely take some pointers from you.

Got in the wait-list in 2019. Never received an offer and I reach out to Roy and asked about my place in line. Roy was kind enough to offer me 3 bottles (2017, 2019, 2021) Price is very good at $185 per. Looking forward to receiving the bottles next week! Should I drink one or keep it all? Can’t seem to find much Roy Piper on the secondary market…

With the release coming I thought I’d finally try one of the two bottles Roy offered me last year.
2017 Roy Piper Cab: Splash decanted 3 hrs prior to consumption. Effusive and enticing aromas of blackcurrants with olives and menthol in the background. Very civilized, harmonious and elegant palate, still some serious tannins, but in no way obtrusive. A winner for sure and great with lamb chops.
I’d be very happy to drink these wines on a regular basis and feel stupid that I never tried to sign up earlier. For comparisons most of my CA Cab holdings are Beta, MacD and Mount Eden.
