Fyi. I just received the email yesterday that they are closing down. Library wines are all heavily discounted, as well reductions on UPS shipping for 6 bottles or more. Hopefully, can grab a few if their permits still work for shipping to my state.
Took a look at their site and saw no mention
Hi Max, it was sent via email to their subscription email listers. I can try and copy/paste the info over from the email.
o all our Wine Club members and friends of Roessler Wines: We have had a Wonderful journey together, and survived good times, pandemics and recessions alike since our start in 2000, but only because of your support through thick and thin!
From one single wine to start, the result of the long time friendship Roger had with the Sangiacomo family in Sonoma, to 17 different pinot options in 2007 when irrational exuberance led us to produce wines from Santa Rita hills to the Dundee Valley in Oregon! My how we enjoyed them though. Our Savoy 2007 wine took us to the cover of the Wine Spectator in 2009, a day I will never forget when I opened my mailbox and saw it there!
It has been a journey filled with great new friends, fellow wine maker friends, and wine aficionados all over the country and even a few foreign countries! This shipment will be the last formal offer due to diminishing inventory available, but we will offer some of the great library wines for you, for the next month or so. As you probably have read, the industry slump has hit the small boutique wineries hard with fewer visitors to our lovely city and area. Roger and I will always smile with joy as we think of you, and how much your support has meant to all of us here.
Thanks from our hearts to yours…John, Richard, and Roger
With gratitude for your interest in Roessler Wines, we regret to inform you that we are ending our winemaking and closing the winery. To that end, we are having a final sale of library wines. We are down to the last couple of weeks and quantities are very limited. Our shipping licenses to some states have expired, so we may not be able to include you in our final shipment. Please email to place your order.
I enjoyed their PNs when I was first getting into wine.
Also took a look at their site and nothing jumped out.
Is this a club only offering?
Is there a link to the ‘sale’?
They did an excellent job with our fruit. ![]()
I have a selection from their Scott Shapley era. I don’t see library wines listed on their site. Any idea what vintage range they’re offering?
From the announcement email, but shipments are restricted by their remaining active state permit/licenses.
I’ve omitted initial pricing, because I think if someone is truly interested, one can write the winery, and the pricing could be changing by the day/week as they close things down.
