I am just starting to understand and explore Riesling. Can anyone recommend good books on Riesling and German Riesling?
Thanks

Not really. The finest wines of Germany is an ok start.
But you can download Mosel Fine Wines for free and ask for back issues.
Mosel Fine Wines is a great source as Russell suggested.
I also heartily recommend: “The Best White Wine on Earth: The Riesling Story” by Stuart Pigott
Lots of great information, and Stuart is such an excellent writer, and conveys his love for Riesling quite well.
Cheers,
Go for the book “The finest wines of Germany” by Stephan Reinhardt/WA
Prost,

Mosel Fine Wines is a good suggestion.

The best book I have found is Understanding Mosel Wines by Eric Steinberg, available by ebook.
The Terry Thiese catalogs are also helpful:
Also a vote for Pigott’s book. It’s recent as well.
Wine Atlas Of Germany published by the University Of California Press.
You could do worse that Terry Theise’s catalogs fort Michael Scurnik Wines. Very informative, and free.
Thank you all for the recommendations. Much appreciated.
The TT catalogue is mind-blowing. I really need to buy more Hexamer after reading through it…fair selection downtown here in Edmonton.
I strongly recommend this one:
The wine atlas of Germany
Very detailed and good coverage of the different regions

if you’re not into conquering facts: Terry Theise, Reading Between the Wines. It will help you understand and maybe feel.
I finally read this over the last few weeks, and although the writing style felt a bit ponderous, I enjoyed the book and learned quite a bit. Copies can be had for a song (used) since its 10 years old at this point. The pictures and general quality of the book at exceptional though.
I was able to find a sentence or two on a Theo Minges wine I knew nothing about too!
