I recently placed on order for some wine – total of a little over $400. They emailed to confirm my order. After a day or two I got cold feet. I emailed and tried to be clear that I would completely understand if they wanted to hold me to the sale (we definitely had a contract that I was obliged to fulfill). Now granted maybe my genuineness did not come across, but the almost immediate response was not a problem, and they cancelled the order and refunded my money. I was willing to go through with it in part under the assumption that they may have turned away others who wanted the same wine that had been reserved for me. Regardless of what was behind it, I just wanted to publicize this good customer service on their part – I would not hesitate to order from them again in the future (though with more careful thought in advance…)

I love their balsamic and olive oils. I don’t buy much wine from them, mostly because the stuff I like to buy is allocated and I’m not on their good customer list.

Ron, I thought that they no longer ship to Seattle without going through a third party shipper. Have things changed? Or maybe you don’t know

Outstanding shop, and clearly the best wine shop I know if you like rioja or barolo (or olive oil as mentioned). Great staff. Love doing business with them. Wish their offerings and my tastes intersected more often
Sadly, they no longer ship to Ohio. The only place I have ever checked that does not as Ohio 's only real requirement is that retailers charge and remit the sales tax.
Has always been an excellent source. I remember years ago, when they were still in Sonoma, I wanted a bottle of 2003 Allemand (I think it was $50 or $60 back then, those were the days) for a tasting. Didn’t have time to go up and get it, they arranged to include the bottle in a delivery they were making to a peninsula restaurant, where I was able to pick it up. Good folks.
Yes, that is still the case as far as I know. I had an earlier order come that way. It worked well. And of course not their fault we have these silly alcohol mail/transport laws.
