A search yielded a couple of mentions. Any reviews would greatly appreciated.
They’re a great retailer with a really nice selection of smaller OR producers. Buy with confidence.
They’re partially responsible for helping me down the wine rabbit hole when I lived in NW Portland many years ago. I know they’re under different ownership now, but from what I hear they’re still one of the premier retailers in PDX.
It’s been a few years, but I had lots of excellent experiences with them. Buy without reservation.
+1 for selection and customer service. Often their prices are the best in town.
Good selection, great people. Buy with confidence.
Nice people, nice wine, nice website.
for a long time they were considered OR’s premier retailer. i believe also one of the only places where you could source Thomas Pinot if you weren’t on the list. dunno if that’s still the case.
I bought my 2004 Truchot from them, so I am grateful for that. I don’t think they have any of that left, but my gratitude remains.
They’ve never done wrong by me. Or have I never done wrong by them?
Whatever, I haven’t been misled by them, and have greatly enjoyed wines they’ve recommended, that I would not have otherwise bought.
I’ve been a customer for over 20 years and have bought at least a couple thousand bottles from them in that time. Bob Scherb (an old CompuServe wine board poster) bought the store from Bob Liner & Matt Elsen in 1999, I believe, and has been the owner since then. Lots of Portland wine “elite” (Peter Liem, Eric Pottmeyer of Sec, etc.) have worked there over the years, and the guys tend towards geeky, interesting wines. But they have a great selection of all types of wine and often have pricing that’s as good, or better, than most brick and mortar Oregon stores. I’ve had some of the best wines of my life in that store, and I am friends with the guys, but don’t let that stop you from doing business with them .
Order in! Nice variety, some a little off the beaten path. Plenty of daily drinkers with a splash of higher end stuff. The 10% mixed case discount is a nice touch.
Many thanks!!
